New Delhi: The Adani Group has partnered with the PGTI to inaugurate the first Adani Invitational Golf Championship scheduled for April 1-4, 2025. To be hosted at the prestigious Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida, the tournament is expected to bring in significant changes for the golfing fraternity of India.
Flagging an astounding prize purse of Rs 1.5 crore, the tournament will end a long 11-year drought of PGTI visits to the destination. Through this partnership, the intent is to bring the game of golf into the limelight in India, such that young and aspiring golfers will have the opportunity to play at a world-class level.
The initiative is to democratize golf and hone the next-gen future global champions from India, said Pranav Adani, director of Adani Enterprises. This partnership excites Kapil Dev, the cricket legend and president of PGTI, who anticipates that with this support, Indian golf will grow on the international stage.
To open the competitions, there will be a pre-tournament golf clinic held on March 29, 2025, at The Belvedere Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad. This will see the game introduced to 50 children from The Adani International School, with the participation of five leading PGTI professionals. The clinic will also be attended by Kapil Dev, just adding another important cog in the vision shared between the Adani Group and PGTI towards developing young golfing talents in India.
The landmark event in Indian golf, the Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025 will offer a thrilling week in competition to Indian golfers seeking to stand on the global stage.
